Shallow Water Lifeguard Course – Invite onlyAdults/Teens – ages 15+May 9- May 12
The American Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguard Training Course prepares participants for certification in Shallow Water Lifeguard, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Students must be 15 years old by the last day of the course (proof of age required) and pass a pre-screen test on the first pool day in order to continue participation in class. Pre-screen requirements are as follows;
Complete a continuous swim – tread- swim sequence. Jump into the water, submerge, resurface and swim 50 yards (using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain positions with head above the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or combination of both. • Timed 10 lbs. brick retrieval in 4 to 5 feet of water with 20-yard swim or walk within fifty seconds
If a participant does not pass the pre-screen, a course fee refund will be issued (minus a $15 administrative fee). Interested participants must apply for Lifeguard Job online and set up an interview.
Applicant who receives conditional job offer must complete contingent hiring paperwork.
