About This Activity
T.W. Wood’s Anime Camp focuses on the development of techniques often used in manga, and helps encourage those who want to create art in an anime-inspired style. We’ll also prioritize art based activities that involve many popular anime and manga to better involve students in the work. Our overall goal is to have each student create their own “one-shot manga” taking place in an anime world of your choice, be it your own creation or a show you may already enjoy. Students will learn techniques that will help them develop their own “manga”, and how manga differs from English comic books and graphic novels.
