About This Activity
Description
Ages 12-18 with experience in ballet, hip hop, jazz, or tap.Students learn how to be helpful to Weehawken teachers as a class assistant, either for preschool students or elementary school students, as well as dabbling in teaching itself. Many students who take this class go on to become successful Weehawken class assistants. We discuss dance class structure, how children learn dance, creating choreography, dance games, helping with costumes, counting music, and how to help children feel comfortable and improve in dance. This class is required if the student is interested in being a class assistant during the 2026-2027 year.Location
