Instructor: Hannah Taylor Welcome to Oakwood Improv, where imagination takes the spotlight! This summer camp is a vibrant playground for kids in 4th to 6th grade, inviting them into the captivating world of improvisation. This camp will foster creativity, confidence, and camaraderie through the thrilling art of improvisational theater. This camp provides a safe and nurturing environment for budding performers to explore their potential. The camp kicks off with an energizing welcome session and then they'll dive into fun-filled icebreakers, team-building activities, and theater games designed to ignite their creativity and unleash their inner performers. Throughout the week, every day is a new adventure! Here’s a glimpse of what your child can expect: Improv Workshops: Ms. Taylor will guide campers through engaging workshops focusing on improvisational techniques, character development, storytelling, and quick thinking. Through interactive exercises, they'll learn to think on their feet and express themselves confidently. Creative Exploration: Campers are encouraged to explore their imaginations freely. They'll experiment with various improv formats, from classic short-form games to creating their own improvised scenes, fostering their unique talents. Team Collaboration: Collaboration is key! Campers discover the power of teamwork as they collaborate with their peers to create spontaneous, hilarious, and heartwarming performances.
