About This Activity
The Wissen Wollen Think Tank (W2T2) is a bilingual STEM enrichment program for curious children in grades K–4. Through hands-on experiments and guided inquiry, students explore everyday phenomena while building critical thinking, observation skills, and scientific vocabulary in both German and English. Inspired by CLIL and inquiry-based pedagogy, W2T2 connects language acquisition with scientific discovery. Language is learned naturally through action, as all activities are conducted bilingually. Seasonal, real-world themes tie science concepts to children's everyday experiences. Led by a biochemist and a pedagogist, W2T2 combines academic rigor with developmentally appropriate, play-based methods — fostering a lifelong love for STEM/MINT subjects. Important: The Student has to be able to listen attentively and follow directions, work cooperatively in small groups, and participate independently in classroom activities.
