About This Activity
This is the continuation of the German 4 HNRS course from the Fall Semester. German language competency required enrolling in German 4 HNRS – Spring Semester: Understanding: The student should be ready to understand the main idea of complex texts about abstract and concrete topics. He/she should be able to follow different kind of contents on TV or radio. The learner should be able to summarize these main ideas. Speaking: The student should be able to share his/her point of view. He/she should be able to talk in more complex sentences. The student should be able to discuss topics like different kinds of living, and work or school. At B2 language level, speaking should become more and more naturally for the language learner. Reading: The student should begin to be able to fluently read texts and articles at B2 level. Writing: The student should be able to write in complex and structured sentences. He/she should also be able to analyze short slogans and refer to the main content/idea in an essay. He/she should be able to present the pros and cons of different topics in an essay. Grammar: The student should know enough German grammar to be able to write and speak German without being misunderstood. He/she knows who to apply negation and comparison with als/wie and je… desto/umso. The language learner should be able to identify modal sentences as well as passive sentence structures.
