This is the continuation of the Saturday A2 course from the Fall Semester. German language competency required to enroll in German A2: Elementary – Spring Semester: Understanding: The language learner should be able to understand questions and to follow conversations about the following topics: holidays, clothing, school, housing situations and activities in the city. Speaking: The language learner should be able to speak about daily situations with a simple sentence structure and vocabulary. The language learner should be able to share his/her opinion on topics like holidays, clothing, housing situation and activities in the city. Reading: The language learner should be able to read and understand simple articles, which focus on daily situations like holidays, clothing, housing situation and activities in the city. Writing: The language learner should be able to write short texts with a simple sentence structure, which focus on topics like holidays, clothing, housing situations and activities in the city. Grammar: Comparative and superlative, pronouns, modal verbs in past tense, subordinate clauses with weil, wenn, dass. Tenses: Past tense.
