This course is a continuation of DaF 2 using the Paul, Lisa & Co. series. It is a more advanced A1/A2 level course for children in Grades 2–4. Students who have not taken the Fall Semester of this course are strongly advised to discuss placement with the Head of Saturday School prior to enrollment. German language competency required to enroll in DaF Level 3: Understanding: The student should be able to understand basic words and simple phrases as covered in previous classes. Speaking: The student should have a basic repertoire of words and phrases and be able to speak the sounds of the phonetic table. Reading: The student should be able to read simple phrases and short texts as learned in previous classes. Reading materials: Paul, Lisa & Co. A1.2 work and course book. Writing: The student should be able to write simple words and phrases as learned in previous classes. Writing material: Paul, Lisa & Co. Grammar: The student will continue to gain an intuitive understanding of grammar. Paul, Lisa & Co. A1.2 is designed to support the student's natural use of language; no explicit grammar exercises will be given at this stage.
