About This Activity
This is the continuation of the DaZ Level 4 course from the Fall Semester. German language competency required enrolling in DaZ Level 4 – Spring Semester: Understanding: The student should be able to understand instructions in the workbook and textbook, and follow conversations about a range of topics that a student this age can understand, e.g. family, school, pets, etc. Speaking: The student should be able to speak in simple sentences, and to answer questions about topics they have talked about in class. Reading: The student should be able to read short texts. The student should be able to find context-relevant information. He/she should be able to read and understand personal information and letters. They should be familiar with “Umlaute”. Writing: The students should be able to write short texts and messages. He/she should be able to express thoughts and ideas in writing (approximately 5-8 sentences). While writing, the student should be able to correctly apply capitalization. Grammar: The student should be able to apply more often than not the correct articles and be able to understand abstract nouns. The student should be able to use some conjugation and declination.
