About This Activity
This is the continuation of the Middle School German course from the Fall Semester. German language competency required to enroll in Middle School German – Spring Semester: Understanding: The student should be able to confidently follow conversations to related topics like school, work, hobbies and actual situations shared in the news and on the radio. Speaking: The student should be able to talk freely about daily situations that are related to their family, friends, school and hobbies. The student should have practice public speaking in classrooms, which should prepare them for GISSV Saturday School High School and their exams e.g. DSD and AP. Reading: The student should be able to read and understand adventurous stories and their figures. The student should be thought in reading strategies, which help to analyze different kind of texts e.g. factual texts. Writing: The student should be able to share his/her own opinion in German, and can make arguments in writing. The student should be aware of and able to compose different types of texts e.g. fairy tales, essays, emails, letters, and fantasy stories. S/he should be able to write about occasions and incidents. S/he should be also able to write stories and essays with a climate points, which leads to more expression in their writing style. Grammar: The student should have reviewed nouns, substantives, articles, verbs and adjectives. S/he will have reviewed personal pronouns, the declination of them. The possessive pronoun should be reviewed as well as the demonstrative pronouns.
