About This Activity
German language competency required to enroll in Kindergarten: Understanding: Basic vocabulary of the German language (e.g. introduce yourself). Ideally, the student is able to understand and follow simple instructions. Speaking: The student tries to repeat new words and has the confidence to apply new words. Reading (pre-academic): The student should be able to recognize and read his/her own name. Writing (pre-academic): The student should be able to write his/her own name. Social competency required to enroll in Kindergarten: The student should feel confident in a classroom setting without parents, be able to handle simple tasks independently, and have the confidence to interact with peers in a classroom setting.
