About This Activity
UC/CSU a-g + NCAA + WASC Approved. For NCAA credit, students must log progress of at least 21 days. The courses are available 24-7 in an asynchronous format. Each term represents a single semester of 5 credits. Both terms must be taken for a full year of 10 credits. Course B is only the second half of the ASL 1 course. This beginning of this semester course will introduce you to vocabulary and simple sentences, so that you can start communicating right away. Importantly, you will explore Deaf culture: social beliefs, traditions, history, values and communities influenced by deafness. The second semester will introduce you to more of this language and its grammatical structures.
