Afternoon Kids Camp runs every week Monday-Thursday from 1:30PM - 4:30PM. The afternoon session will focus on teaching the campers to become well rounded watermen (& women!). The goal to work on advancing their skills, and form a new cohort of friends with whom they can go play on the water safely. Our focus is to teach your children how to be knowledgeable, self-sufficient, and most importantly safe, while they fall in love with playing on the water into adulthood. During afternoon camps we welcome absolute beginners who are eager to learn watersports, but focus on kids with an existing background with kiteboarding, wakeboarding, and hydrofoiling. On windy days, we focus on kiteboarding and winging instruction. Kids will work on their self sufficiency skills (Safe launching/landing; Returning to their boards; Coming back to where they started; Teamwork concepts; What to do In Case of Emergency). For those who are self-sufficient, we will focus on advanced skills such as jumping, new tricks, and riding surfboards + hydrofoils. On no wind days, we focus on becoming well rounded on the water. We go wakeboarding and hydrofoiling practicing advanced skills including jumping, new tricks, and dropping the rope while wakefoiling. Beyond just riding, we focus on teaching boating safety: how to safely operate motorboats; how to tow for wakeboarding, tubing, waterskiing; how to dock a boat; how to navigate the harbor; right of way concepts; and more. We recommend purchasing wetsuits and gear.
