Cabaret: Acting the Song A great musical theatre performance is about far more than hitting the notes. In this dynamic class, young performers will learn how to approach every song as a scene—discovering what the character wants, breaking lyrics into beats, making bold acting choices, and using the music to tell the story. Through songs, games, improvisation, and performance coaching, students will explore everything from “I Want” songs and comic numbers to love songs, break-up songs, and showstopping finales. The goal? To sing with purpose, connect with an audience, and bring every lyric fully to life.
