If you have completed CIT/PA training, you can sign up to help at Outdoor Skills Series. A description of the program you will be helping with is below: Join us for an unforgettable day of adventure at our Outdoor Skills Series Day! Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages, this fun-filled program is designed to equip you with essential skills for your outdoor adventures. What You'll Learn: Campsite Setup: Practice the art of setting up a campsite efficiently and safely. Knot Tying: Learn various knots and when to use them in different outdoor situations. Map and Compass Navigation: Navigate confidently using maps and compasses to explore new areas. Campfire Building: Discover techniques for building and maintaining a campfire for warmth, cooking, and camaraderie. First Aid and Safety: Review basic first aid skills and essential camp safety practices to ensure a secure outdoor experience. By the end of the day, you'll have completed the GCNWI Outdoor Skills Series patch program that consists of five patches, a testament to your newfound knowledge and abilities. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, our experienced camp staff will guide you every step of the way. Don't miss this opportunity to become a confident and skilled outdoor adventurer! This is a day event and does not include an overnight. A snack is provided as part of this event. Participants should bring a lunch from home. This program is designed for individuals without an adult chaperone. This is a drop off event. A patch will be provided for registered youth participants.
