About This Activity

Embark on a thrilling journey through the realms of Greek and Roman mythology! In this captivating art class, middle & high school students will delve into the fascinating world of gods, goddesses, heroes, and monsters. Through storytelling, drawing, and creative expression, students will bring ancient myths to life and develop their artistic skills. Class Objectives Understand the basics of Greek and Roman mythology, including major gods, goddesses, and legendary creatures Develop storytelling and narrative skills through comic strips, illustrations, and short stories Improve drawing and illustration techniques, including proportion, perspective, and texture Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation Create a unique and imaginative artistic interpretation of a mythological story or character This class will also introduce Middle and High School kids to the fascinating world of cryptids, while teaching them fun facts and artistic skills to draw and create these mythical creatures from around the world. Students will be issued a drawing journal and will make weekly additions of drawings and facts about cryptids and mythical monsters from around the world. Teacher: Andrew Rose
