Instructor: Megan Bailey-Gill Calling all teen animal lovers! In this week-long camp, students will dive into the world of realistic watercolor painting, learning how to bring animals to life on paper. Teens will focus on key details like fur, feathers, eyes, and textures, receiving step-by-step guidance to create depth, dimension, and lifelike results. By the end of the week, each student will complete an 8x10 animal portrait they can be proud of. What Students Will: --Master watercolor techniques for realism, including layering and blending Capture textures like fur, feathers, and eyes with depth and detail -Develop skills in composition, color mixing, and observational drawing -Build confidence in painting lifelike portraits from reference images Day 1: Watercolor basics & sketching Day 2: Painting realistic eyes Day 3: Noses, snouts, & details Day 4: Fur & feather textures Day 5: Final touches & critique On the final day of camp, we invite parents to a special reception to celebrate their young artists and to see the work your children have created throughout the week.
