This full-year course provides students with a solid understanding of health, wellness, and physical fitness. Students are encouraged to think critically about health-related topics, particularly those about which there is conflicting information in the media, and will practice evaluating the credibility of sources. Course topics include mental health, stress, anatomy, the systems of the body, reproduction and sexuality, nutrition, relationships, drugs and alcohol, diseases, and personal safety. Estimated work outside of class: 1 hr/week. This class is designed to meet the TN state graduation requirements for a health class. Teacher: Brenda Wolff
