About This Activity
In our History of Games class, we’ll take a fun journey through time to explore how people have played games throughout history! From ancient board games like chess and backgammon to modern video games, you’ll discover how games have evolved and been enjoyed by people all over the world. We’ll look at the rules, the culture, and the creativity behind different games, and you’ll even get to try some of them yourself! Throughout the class, we’ll have exciting in-class challenges where students will work together to build arcade games out of cardboard or create a story tree for a video game they create. It’s a perfect mix of learning and having fun as we explore the past and present of play! Teacher: Helen Smith
