Students will learn the historical development of the modern American form of Democracy and Government, as well as the contemporary manner in which Federal, State and Local government’s function. Additionally, students will learn the basics of macro economics and develop an understanding of how economic and governmental forces interact. We will learn about markets and the international monetary system and perform simulated trading of stocks and other financial instruments. We’re all trapped within this institutionalized society that we call Government and Economics!! If you understand the system, you can use it. Those who don’t understand it… will only be used by it.
