About This Activity
Instructor: James Hendricks In this exciting class, students will dive into the world of Japanese indigo tie-dye techniques, learning how to create beautiful patterns with this traditional art form. Once they've mastered the art of tie-dye, they'll explore the ancient technique of batik from India and Indonesia, using hot wax to draw intricate designs. The fun doesn’t stop there—students will then combine both techniques to craft unique, vibrant flags that reflect their personal journeys as artists and individuals. On the final day of camp, we invite parents to a special reception to celebrate their young artists and to see the work your children have created throughout the week.
