In this engaging workshop, K–2nd grade students will explore the rich sights, symbols, and flavors of China—with a special focus on Lunar New Year—through hands-on art and cooking activities. Children will create bright, Lunar New Year–inspired artwork featuring traditional colors and symbols, and help prepare a simple, kid-friendly Chinese treat. With stories, music, and interactive learning, students will enjoy a playful “journey” to China while building creativity, curiosity, and an appreciation for world cultures. Teacher: Val Smith **All workshops include a break for lunch and free time with friends.
