In this deliciously fun, fully hands-on, practical life skills class, students will explore new foods and learn new recipes and culinary skills. Your child will engage all of their senses, work with math and science concepts, gain confidence, independence and practical life skills, explore new cultures and celebrate diversity with exposure to various culinary traditions and global cousines, learn about seasonality and food systems and engage in a collaborative, social and communal manner as one does, when cooking and sharing a meal (or snack) among friends. This class will promote a lifelong appreciation for whole and fresh foods, a balanced approach to cooking and eating and empower the next generation of healthy eaters and raise awareness for their role in a sustainable food system.
