About This Activity
This program combines training & rehearsal to build an acting ensemble that performs a full Shakespeare play at the end of the session (3 performances). The Troupe rehearses Saturday afternoons from 1pm-5pm, and is made up of returning and new students, dedicated to working as a team together, stretching themselves as actors, and working in a non-competitive, supportive environment. Students will explore Shakespeare's language and the chosen play through voice work, movement, stage combat, text analysis, and training on Shakespeare acting techniques, all under the guidance of our most experienced teaching staff. By the end, the Troupe will have developed a fully embodied performance that is all their own. It is both a place to make friends, and make an absolutely awesome show together.
