About This Activity

Thank you for registering as a delegate with DIGIVATIONS XGENS’ Delegation to participate in Yale’s High School Model United Nations, YMUN.org, January 15 arrive before 3pm to January 18, 2026 closing ceremony ends at 12:45pm. Your acceptance to participate with XGENS is an accomplishment of which you should be proud since the Delegation evaluation process is highly selective. We look forward to you enjoying all aspects of YMUN including before the Conference by submitting a themed based creative work to the Arts Competition (ymun.org/arts-competition), Global Exchange (ymun.org/gep) and Essay Contest (https://ymun.org/essay-contest). You will also have the opportunity to participate at Yale Day during the Conference. Overall, participation will provide you with the benefit of meeting like minded peers from throughout the Globe, and foster your research, writing and advocacy talents. You will enjoy learning about “real world” issues faced by country/members comprising the UN and its different organs and committees. Before the Conference, you will draft and submit a position paper consistent with your assigned country’s perspectives and past, current and prospective actions to be taken regarding specific issues that are being addressed at the UN. You will step into the mind set of a hypothetical representative from your assigned country at the UN, and advocate your county’s position based on the position paper even if you do not personally agree with the position in real life. You will also learn how to collaborate and compromise by drafting proposed resolutions to solve the issues before you. This form of role playing while challenging since it tests interdisciplinary talents enables you to develop mentorship and leadership skills. Your position paper needs to be submitted to XGENS on or before December 22nd so we can evaluate it and provide feedback enabling you to make changes prior to your required submission to YMUN on or before January 4.
