This course discusses mechanics of image making in the digital format. You will learn how to properly expose an image using aperture, shutter speed, and ISO as well as the characteristics of these controls and how they translate visually. We discuss and practice the elements of composition as they pertain to photography and learn to create aesthetically pleasing images. Then, identify very basic editing functions found in any simple editing program, basic workflow and file delivery. Class lectures and images will be available through Google Drive, a printed copy of most materials can be requested. Note-taking is encouraged! DSLR or mirrorless camera, laptop or tablet
