About This Activity
Students will create artistic and functional pottery such as cups, mugs, bowls, plates and vases. We will use slab construction and surface decoration techniques to express ourselves through clay. Demonstrations and personal feedback will be given every class to create an encouraging and supportive environment for everybody. At the end of this course students will take home finished glazed ceramics pieces ready to be used. This class is for everyone, those with ceramics experience as well as those who are completely new to the material and process. Come join the fun and get your hands dirty! Prerequisites: None Supplies: Tuition includes a $75 fee for materials, i.e., one bag of clay and glazes Optional Materials: Mini ribbon tool set, textured objects from home that can be pressed into clay such as lace, leaves, or the sole of a shoe
