Our Teen Leadership Program offers a unique opportunity for older teens to engage with our community as mentors and role models for young artists. This program is perfect for teens who have either aged out of our traditional camp offerings or have a strong interest in working with children. Position Summary - Attend training sessions focused on building skills to engage and connect with young artists effectively - Join art-infused social events twice a month to foster creativity, teamwork, and community among fellow participants - Work as classroom assistants during camp sessions, supporting young artists and instructors in a structured environment Responsibilities - Assist instructors in leading activities for young artists during camp sessions - Build positive relationships with younger children, acting as a role model and mentor - Participate in monthly training sessions and social gatherings - Commit to twice-monthly meet-ups on Fridays from 5-8 PM, location TBD Program Benefits - Earn a stipend as a classroom assistant during camp sessions - Gain valuable job skills, including teamwork, social-emotional learning, and positive reinforcement - Develop meaningful connections with young artists and fellow participants - Cultivate creativity and leadership skills through hands-on, art-based activities Requirements - Must be at least 14 years old by May 1 - Commit to attending these program dates: January 10, 24 February 7 March 14, 28 April 4, 18 May 23 Mandatory Training (No exceptions) May 29 10 AM-3 PM *New teens must attend 6 of the Friday night meetings. Returning teens who completed last year’s program must attend 4 meetings. ALL teens must attend the mandatory training. Registration closes on January 13 at 11:59 PM.
