In this imaginative camp session, students become authors, illustrators, screenwriters, and artists as they bring their own stories and characters to life through words, images, and mixed media. On the first day, campers choose the creative path that excites them most: Creative Writing & Illustration - Campers dive into the building blocks of great storytelling — plot, setting, characters, conflict, and suspense — as they write and illustrate an original story from start to finish. Through drafting, revising, and refining, each student transforms their work into a beautifully bound book they can keep forever. Scriptwriting- Lights, camera, story! Campers learn to shape their ideas for the screen, exploring the three-act structure, dialogue, sluglines, and basic script formatting. This track is a perfect launchpad for students with an eye on Film Camp. Mixed Media Art - Some stories are best told with your hands. Campers sculpt characters in clay, paint with acrylics, stitch, collage, and create with recycled materials — building vivid worlds that exist beyond the page. No matter which track they choose, all campers have the option to learn traditional bookbinding — hand-sewing their very own book or journal to take home. The session wraps with a Book Reading & Art Showcase, where families are invited to celebrate the campers' creativity, hear their stories, and admire their finished work!
