About This Activity
Drop your kids off at work this Labor Day! We’ll start the day with vision boarding. What are your future goals? What kind of job would your human—or creature—self like to have when you grow up? Students will use collage, drawing, and words to create a vision board imagining their future. Then it’s time to get to work! Students can choose from a variety of jobs around the studio, including cooking (lunch provided!), tending to the grounds, advanced cleaning (mopping and dusting!), doggy day care, dishes, organizing, and—of course—more cooking. After lunch, it’s time for dessert! We’ll wrap up the day with story time, where students will read books to each other about the history of labor unions and workers’ rights. Lunch provided.
