Get ready to celebrate the Spirit of the Crescent City! This week, our campers will honor the joy of Juneteenth and the magic of NOLA culture through hands-on fun and heart. We will dive into colorful crafts by making Juneteenth flags, learning the art of beading inspired by the Mardi Gras Indians, and creating a Freedom Quilt full of our favorite local symbols. Little musicians will get to build their own drums and kazoos for Congo Square drum circles and our very own Second Line Parade around the block. We will explore the city's history through freedom stories, books, and discussions of historic landmarks before wrapping up the week with a special Red Food picnic filled with strawberries and treats to celebrate resilience and friendship. Join us for a week of rhythm, roots, and Big Easy smiles! A reminder that on Friday, June 19th, we will be closed to honor the Juneteenth Holiday (price reflects a discount due to our day off).
