About This Activity
In this exciting afterschool class, students will become real reporters as they create their very own newspaper from start to finish! They’ll learn what makes a great story, from headlines to interviews to eye-catching photos and discover how newspapers inform and connect a community. Each student will research a topic that interests them and write an article to be featured in the newspaper. Along the way, they’ll practice writing, teamwork, and creative thinking in a fun, hands-on environment. By the end of the session, students will proudly hold a published newspaper filled with their own work!
