About This Activity
Step into the exciting world of game design and create your very own 2D retro-style games! In this hands-on class, students will explore the history of video games and how they’ve evolved, while also learning the fundamentals of coding and design. Using the Code Camp World platform, students will combine block and line coding to build interactive environments, design characters and sprites, and bring their ideas to life on screen. Along the way, they’ll develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of how games work- while having fun designing games they can play and share.
