This exciting program led by master string players and educators, will teach students the intricacies of performing jazz from the perspective of a bowed instrument. Whether students are taking their first steps outside of the classical idiom or have been jamming for years, this program is designed with their specific needs in mind. Students will learn how to operate in a chamber jazz ensemble, play in a standard jazz small group, as well as learn the essential technical and improvisational skills to be a creative string player in today’s music landscape.
