Paper engineering is a unique STEM program that develops both hemispheres of the brain. The course includes both art tasks and the solution of logical, mathematical questions. In this course, students will develop 3D thinking, knowledge, and artistic ability. They will work with different materials and techniques, creativity, and fine motor skills of the hands, which is directly related to the brain. Students will learn various techniques, materials, examples of paper engineering in history and create many of their own projects. The program will be useful for those who want to become future architects, fashion designers, designers, sculptors, or just those who want to further develop their engineering skills. Projects include: paper sculpture, pop-up postcards/books, origami, kusudama, quilling, and 3D applique.
