About This Activity
Description
Step into the Sawdust Club Woodshop and learn the fundamentals of woodworking in a hands-on, small-group setting.Participants will be introduced to basic hand tools and entry-level power tools while building skills through guided instruction and practice.
No prior experience is required. This program is designed for individuals who are ready to follow instruction and work safely in a shop environment.
Participants will complete a simple take-home project over the course of the session.
What to Expect
- Introduction to basic woodworking tools and techniques
- Hands-on project work in a functioning woodshop
- Guidance from experienced club members
- Small group setting for individualized support
- Participants must be able to follow verbal instruction and safety guidelines
- Closed-toe shoes required
- No loose-fitting clothing or jewelry
- Long hair must be tied back at all times
- Safety equipment (gloves, hearing protection, and safety glasses) will be provided
- Water bottle
- Comfortable, fitted clothing suitable for workshop activity
