Description
Discover the basics of quilting in this beginner-friendly sewing workshop designed just for kids! Participants will learn foundational quilting techniques while designing and assembling their own quilt project using colorful pre-cut fabric squares.Students will practice:• Planning simple quilt layouts• Understanding quilt patterns and design• Sewing basic seams• Learning why accurate measuring and cutting matter• Building confidence with beginner quilting techniques
Most sewing will be completed by hand, with limited sewing machine demonstrations and support provided by the instructor.
Participants who attend multiple workshop dates may continue building and expanding their quilt projects over time.
All basic materials are included.
Participant Notes:Participants should be comfortable using sewing needles with instructor guidance and supervision throughout class.
What to Bring:Optional: Participants may bring woven cotton fabric they would like to incorporate into their project. Stretch fabrics are not recommended.
