About This Activity
Description
Young Artist Learning Explorers is designed to introduce students to a variety of art mediums through the use of the Elements of Art. Your young artist will experiment each week with a new element and new technique including drawing, painting, sculpting and print making. This class is for all ability levels.
A supply fee of $10 to be paid to instructor on the first day of class. The instructor will provide the following supplies:
- Drawing paper
- Newsprint
- Mixed media paper
- Cardstock
- Water color set
- Brushes
- Big crayons
- Thick and thin markers
- Colored pencils
- Pencils
- Gum erasers
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black Sharpie
- Permanent markers
- For participants 6 years old and younger, should the participant need assistance, one adult guardian per family will be expected to attend and sit in the classroom with the participant. There will not be additional seating areas available within the community center for parents/guardians. In the event that a child needs to use the restroom, they should be trusted and able to do so without assistance or direct supervision. Children under the age of thirteen (13) must have an adult guardian on site (in the parking lot) at all times.
