Description
Newport News Table Tennis Club training program is tailored to each students’ individual needs and goals. Training includes both physical and mental training to help students improve their level of play and overall fitness, prioritizing sufficient time to stretching before and after training to help prevent injuries and enhance overall performance.
Physical training includes exercises that improve your strength, endurance, flexibility and drills that focus on specific aspects of the game, such as footwork, hand-eye coordination, and consistency.
Mental training includes visualization techniques to help you mentally prepare for matches, relaxation exercises to help you stay focused and calm during games.
Practicing regularly, ideally three to four times weekly, is key to developing skill, technique, and consistency. Newport News Table Tennis Club is available for practice, games, drilling, robot training, league play, and additional coaching, during the Winter season on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Equipment needed: Loose fitting clothing and non-marking footgear, preferably court shoes.
