Description
Nolensville Rec CenterSaturday, January 10th12:00 - 2:00 pmDo you wish you knew how to fix, build, and troubleshoot tasks around the house? Do you know to use basic hand tools properly? Are your kids learning to be handy? Give them a jump start on becoming familiar with a wide variety of tools and how to use them in this hands-on introduction to DIY and woodworking.
Students will learn about different species of wood, how to drive a nail, measure things with different tools, use a drill, prepare wood for painting and finishing, and many other tool uses. Everything is hands-on learning. Of course, safety is emphasized. In addition, they will receive a wooden box that they'll sand, clean, and either paint or stain. Students will leave with a foundation and confidence to want to learn more about invaluable life-long skills and talents like DIY and woodworking!
A supply fee of $10 is due to the instructor at the beginning of the class.
