About This Activity
Description
Do you wish you knew how to fix, build, and troubleshoot tasks around the house? Are your kids learning to be handy? Give your kids a jump start on becoming familiar with a wide variety of tools and how to use them in this hands-on introduction to DIY and woodworking. Students will learn how to drive a nail, measure things with different tools, use a drill, cut with a saw, prepare wood for painting and finishing, and many other tool uses. In addition, they will make a simple box from pre-cut wood that they'll assemble, sand, and either paint or stain. Students will leave with the foundation and confidence to want to complete tasks using tools and proper techniques.
A supply fee of $10 is due to the instructor at the beginning of the class.
Limited spacing available; pre-registration is required. Students must enroll in each class they plan to attend. Please direct all questions to Kaelyn Terry at Kaelyn.Terry@williamsoncounty-tn.gov.
