SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE AWAITS!
Mind & Maker Workshop: THE FLOATING FRIENDLY GHOST
A Special Halloween "Pop-Up" Event
Are you ready for the ultimate Halloween morning? Join us on Halloween day for a high-energy, hands-on workshop where we build like spooktacular engineers and move like gentle moonlit ghosts! Get ready to build, stretch, play, and explore all in one fun session before heading out for trick-or-treating!
THE WORKSHOP PLAN
1. THE MAKER LAB (3D Engineering & Art)
We dive straight into the lab to design and engineer your very own interactive Floating Friendly Ghost! Using a custom mechanism, you'll build a dynamic ghost friend that actually moves and floats:
● Engineered Floating Mechanism: Practice threading string through straws to build a mechanism that lets your friendly ghost "slide" up and down to float on a wall or door.
● Moving Facial Expressions: Paint, trace, cut out paper eyes and bright foam mouths, and attach moving facial features using paper fasteners.
● Sensory Textures: Explore soft textures by decorating your ghost with fluffy white materials like cotton balls, yarn, and feathers.
2. SECOND STOP: Moonlit Ghost Training (Yoga Flow & Movement)
Once our ghosts are built, we move to the mats for a fun, playful yoga session designed to get kids moving and exploring:
● Balance & Focus Games: Playful movement challenges and freeze games to build coordination and focus.
● Strong & Tall Poses: Fun ghost-themed yoga poses that build flexibility, strength, and body awareness.
● More Than Movement: Playful breathing and wind-down techniques that teach emotional regulation, mindfulness, and calm
