AUTUMN ADVENTURE AWAITS!
Mind & Maker Workshop: THE ITSY BITSY AUTUMN SPIDER
A One-Day "Pop-Up" Event
Are you ready for a fun fall adventure? Join us for a high-energy, hands-on workshop where we build like engineers and move like cozy autumn spiders!
Get ready to build, stretch, play, and explore all in one fun session!
THE WORKSHOP PLAN
1. THE MAKER LAB (3D Engineering & Art)
We dive straight into the lab to design and engineer your very own 3D Spider Cup & Bug Catcher! Using an interactive dual-cup mechanism, you’ll build a quirky spider friend that comes alive in your hands:
● Engineered Spider Legs: Build real moving 3D spider legs using specialized straw-and-cup mechanisms that open and close like a claw.
● Autumn Aesthetics: Paint and decorate your spider body using warm fall tones: orange, crimson, gold, and brown—with googly eyes, foam features, and custom designs.
● The Harvest Hunt: Craft mini "fall bugs" (acorns, pinecones, and leaf-dwelling bugs) for your spider to catch!
2. SECOND STOP: Spider Training (Yoga Flow & Movement)
Once our spiders are built, we move to the mats for a fun, playful yoga session designed to get kids moving and exploring:
● Balance & Focus Games: Playful movement challenges and freeze games to build coordination and focus.
● Strong & Tall Poses: Fun spider-themed yoga poses that build flexibility, strength, and body awareness.
● More Than Movement: Playful breathing and wind-down techniques that teach emotional regulation, mindfulness, and calm
