Mind & Maker Workshop: THE GREAT DISCOVERY
A One-Day "Pop-Up" Event
Are you ready for a secret mission? Join us for a high-energy workshop where we engineer like inventors and train like explorers. This isn’t just an art class… it's a discovery mission!
THE MISSION PLAN
1. THE MAKER LAB (3D Engineering & Art) We dive straight into the lab to design and engineer your own Giant Binocular Scout! Using a massive A3/A2 base, you’ll create a quirky character that literally "pops" off the page:
● Engineered Eyes: Build real 3D binoculars using specialized materials.
● Crazy Construction: Design a 3D head, "accordion" arms, and wild wool hair.
● The Theme is Yours: Will your scout be a Safari Explorer, a Deep-Sea Diver, or a Space Traveler?
2. THE EXPLORER’S TRAINING (Yoga & Movement) Once our scouts are built, we move to the mats to master the "Secret Skills of the Scout." This high-energy yoga flow is designed to reset the brain and body after our big build:
● Stealth & Balance: Ninja-like focus to stay steady on any terrain.
● Lookout Tower Poses: Strong, tall poses to scan the horizon.
● The Explorer's Reset: Breathing techniques to stay calm on the trail.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
● WHO: Explorers Ages 7–12
● WHEN: Sunday, August 16th 2:00-3:30 PM
● WHERE: Nolensville Recreation Center
● INVESTMENT: $50 (Includes 90 minutes of instruction & all premium 3D materials)
Student Requirements: Please have your student bring a standard yoga mat and a water bottle to each session.
