Animals and Art June16-20 (no camp June 19) Emily Nowell Animals have always been an underlying theme in art, from cave paintings to medieval manuscripts, animals are used symbolically and often represent our connection to the natural environment. In art, animals can be used in humorous and whimsical ways as well as for storytelling and symbolism. This week, campers will find inspiration from the animals in their lives, wild animals, and imaginative creatures to create original works of art. Campers will explore a variety of art media including clay, acrylic paint, watercolors, and oil pastels while learning about different art styles like pointillism, decorative collage, printmaking, tessellations and more!
