About This Activity
Introduction to Painting July 20-24 Mikayla Spivey Get ready to paint, experiment, and explore! In this introductory painting camp for young artists, students will dive into the world of color, texture, and expressive mark making. Inspired by museum artworks and their own ideas, students will learn how artists use paint to tell stories, create mood, and bring images to life. Students will experiment with watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint, discovering how each material moves, mixes, and surprises. Through hands-on projects, they’ll build confidence with brushes and tools, explore bold and subtle color choices, and develop their own unique painting style.
