About This Activity
Description
Learn to work together to use all five senses and solve problems through the oldest teacher of all time: nature! By conducting mini experiments, participants will learn how to regulate emotions, use fine motor skills, and work in a team to explore their environment.Program Information: -Program is held outdoors. -Guardians are required to accompany participants, no drop-offs. -Hiking footwear is required. Trails have periodic benches for resting. -It is recommended to dress participants in weather-appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle and snack. -Distance traveled will be between 0.5 and 1 mile. -Outdoor surfaces traveled on in this program include: paved trails, dirt trails with roots and uneven surfaces, steep hills, and creek beds. -This program includes visual, auditory, social, and tactile elements.
