Rockwood Nature Center is searching for outdoor detectives to solve a nature mystery: logs around the park have been mysteriously disappearing and we need your help. Participants will search for fallen logs and observe evidence for why they are disappearing using hand-lenses and an identification key. Hike involves paved and unpaved trails. Closed-toed shoes required.Program Information:-Program is held indoors and outdoors. -At least one adult is required to accompany juvenile participants. -Hiking footwear is recommended. Trails have periodic benches for resting. -Distance traveled will be between 0.5 and 1 mile. -Outdoor surfaces traveled on in this program include: paved trails, dirt trails with roots and uneven surfaces, and steep hills.-This program includes visual and tactile elements.
