About This Activity
Campers in the Outdoor Explorers unit attending with a full-time adult volunteer are eligible for a 50% tuition refund (issued by check) once camp is complete. The Outdoor Explorers unit is for campers entering 6th grade in Fall 2024. The primary focus of the Outdoor Explorers program is learning outdoor skills. Outdoor Explorers will learn how to tie knots, start a fire, build a shelter, use a map and compass, and will learn first aid. Outdoor Explorers also take hikes, cook, sing songs, and do crafts. This unit prepares girls for the PAIT (Program Aide in Training) unit, the following year. Outdoor Explorers are also eligible to attend an optional overnight on the Thursday of camp week. More information about this experience (including a permission slip) will be sent home the week of camp.
