About This Activity
In this 2 week class we will be creating a fun raglan tee for your furry friend! This class is for sewists who have already been sewing with woven fabrics and are looking for a fun, functional small project to start them on the knit/stretch fabric journey! In this class we will be focusing on learning the basics of working with stretch fabric on a small scale so this project is low stakes and low stress while learning a new skill. Skill Level: Advanced Beginner Skill requirements: Some prior sewing knowledge is required, knowing how to thread your machine and having become comfortable with sewing woven/non-stretch fabric is highly recommended. Those who haven’t sewn in a while may or may not be comfortable with taking this class. Please note: depending on how fast you learn, you may have homework to complete between classes. Ages 16+ In this workshop you will learn: New sewing vocabulary Fabric grainlines Proper cutting techniques How to assemble a pet sized raglan shirt How to sew stretch fabric together How to insert sleeve, neck and waist cuffs
